The demand for Maruti Suzuki cars is dipping significantly just after the strike in their Manesar Plant which accounts to 50% manufacturing of Maruti NEW SWIFT car. There are two plants which accounts to manufacturing of 200 and 400 cars simultaneously. The Mannesar plant which accounts for manufacturing 200 cars is still not operative due to the strike which happend on Aug 29. Maruti is loosing its share in sales and competitors are cashing this opportunity by launching new vehicles in competetion with Alto and Wagon R,we can take the eg of Hyundai and Chevrolet which are comming with cheaper vehicles like HYUNDAI EON & Chevrolet BEAT(Diesel) in small car segment.
Maruti has recorded a sales dip of 8% during the strike due to which the government is losing around 350 crore and Maruti losing around 1200 crore. They are still not taking steps to overcome this problem and the situation is same as it was earlier.
Being the #1 car manufacturing company it should take some corrective steps, some in the favour of labours and some in respect of companies benefit so that they can overcome with this problem.
If You had some suggestions for this problem kindly comment.
